Glow in the Dark Applications
We work very hard to meet the many unique needs of our customers. Not only can we add antimicrobial clear coat, we now have some GLOW IN THE DARK options!
Other exciting news: We recently invested in a large collection of powders, expanding our stock even more! We now have 450 colors in-stock and ready to use! We have also added more options for blast media to better serve customers with parts that are aluminum or stainless steel! Same great service with even more options to best match YOUR project!
National Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Association
We are proud to announce that we are now members of NOMMA, the National Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Association! We work with many different ornamental iron workers and metal artists, we are very proud be apart of their official association!
You can see some of the examples of the ornamental work we have done on our facebook page: www.Facebook.com/BlastAndCoat
One of our biggest examples can be seen over Galena Road between Aurora and Sugar Grove. The Gilman Trail bridge occupied our whole oven for most of a day and has 6 different colors of powder coat on it! It was constructed and installed by O’Malley Welding and Fabricating.
Save the Cannon
We’ve been working hard on an 1889 Spanish-American War US Cannon. After 5 months of heating, blasting, coating, disassembly, reassembly, cleaning, polishing, wheelrighting and finally loading it onto our truck and onto the display pad, it is done and looking great!
Everyone at FVS had a hand in getting this cannon done in time for Memorial day. We have to give a special thanks to Rick at Device Tech for his fabrication and machining. We also thank Mark at O’Malley Welding and Fabricating for helping move his 2500 pound piece of artilery as well as his share of fabrication work! Rob Henderson of Colorado (formerly Aurora, Il) did a fantastic job on the wooden wagon wheels, it was great talking to him today!
We hope all of you can make it to the rededication ceremony on Sunday at 1pm at the Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery. The cannon is surrounded by American flags for the holiday and overlooks the granite “Riverside Cemetery” sign.
See the Cannon’s Facebook page for photos! https://www.facebook.com/SaveTheCannon
Antimicrobial Clear Coat Applications
We have been expanding the options for our powder coat customers recently. We now can get ANTIMICROBIAL clear coats to be applied to any desired color! This coating is produced by Alesta Coatings (DuPont), and is a very high quality product. This has many potential uses! If you are interested in an antimicrobial coating please call for more information.
We also have expanded our selection of “Candy” Colors and continue to stock “Kromezone.” Please call or email if you have any questions regarding pricing or specs!
