Noah Eisenhower and Erica Ensor Sponsorship

August 11th, 2015|

Can everyone believe that it’s already August!  Where did 2015 go?

I hope everyone was able to see the FVS&PC Sponsored race cars this summer.  If you haven’t, he season isn’t over!  Run down to Morris or any of the other circuit tracks where you can see Noah Eisenhower or Erica Ensor!   Erica’s race team has some really cool pink and black shirts for sale that feature her car and new fire suit!  (both sport our logos!)

Enjoy the rest of summer, and start thinking about those winter projects!  Now is the time to bring in snow plows, salt spreaders, and all the tools you need to maintain your property in the winter!  We regularly coat full plow setups and can help you have your truck ready for ice and snow!

Thanks for checking in!

Chicagoland Dirty Deltas

June 8th, 2015|

Our few events last weekend went well! Despite the weather!

Saturday’s Jeep club meeting by the Chicagoland Dirty Deltas was hosted at the shop by our own Mike Schwebke.  We had off road suspension testing equipment, food, and great conversations about everyone’s Jeeps!

Sunday was the Jenning’s Terrace Annual Car show.  It was a very chilly morning and it even rained, but the turnout was great!  Almost as many cars as last year.  We sponsor the food tent at this show, and Juan’s cooking did not disappoint!

Our next public event is the Gears and Ears (corn ears) Car Show at the Kendall County Fairgrounds.  Last year, over 450 cars and trucks from all over the midwest attended the show.  We will be there with our signature 6X6 Gamma Goat and maybe a few other vehicles…  Come check out all the great rides!

As always, stop be the shop to say hi at any time!  We’ve been busy, but would love to hear about your upcoming projects!

Thanks!

Engines for Street and Race Cars

March 24th, 2015|

We just wanted to share a quick reminder with all of those building engines for street or race cars.

Remember: Any time you put in new parts, make sure they are clean! Whether you get new parts from the speed shop, have your parts blasted and coated, or simply take off and reinstall old parts – make sure they are clean before installation on your engine! It’s always better to remove oil and dust before installing intake and valve-train parts in particular.

In our process, your parts are exposed to blasting media and powder coat (in it’s powdered, dry form).  We always do our best to clean dust and sand from out customer’s parts before they are picked up.  However, it is the customers responsibility to insure that the parts are cleaned to his or her satisfaction.  Whether or not you choose to have FVS&PC work on your parts, make sure to take a few extra minutes to keep clean parts.  It can save you a LOT of time and money in the long run!

Thanks for checking in on our blog!  We strive to provide helpful information on all of your sandblasting, painting and powder coating needs!

Best-In-Show Award

March 24th, 2015|

We just wanted to make a quick shoutout to Ed “Fast Eddie” Ensor on his Best-In-Show award, from the snowmobile expo last weekend!  We did a lot of coating on the sled, and even the cart that it was shown on!

All of his hard work made a vintage Yamaha sled look like a museum piece!

Ensor Race Team

March 3rd, 2015|

Spring is right around the corner! Just keep thinking positive!

We have seen many sets of wheels in this winter, the salt is very hard on factory finishes! We can fully restore and refinish any wheel: car, truck, tractor, motorcycle or otherwise! Now is the time to start thinking about patio furniture and motorcycle parts. If you are considering refinishing on any of your spring and summer toys, give us a call or drop us an email today!

Last month, the Ensor Race team had a display at the Chicagoland Race and Performance Expo. Erica’s race cars were there as will as “Fast Eddie” Ensor’s incredible snowmobiles! I hope everyone had a chance to check it out! If you haven’t heard of how fast “Fast Eddie” really is, I recommend checking him out on YouTube! We are glad to work with the Ensors on ALL of their projects!

Chicagoland Dirty Deltas Jeep Club

January 11th, 2015|

We came back from our winter shutdown to a very busy week!  We are glad to see that all of you kept your projects moving over the holidays!

Last night, the Chicagoland Dirty Deltas Jeep Club held their annual fundraiser and party.  They raised $9,500 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!  This is their second year doing a fundraiser, they have raised over $15,000 for two major charities!  We were glad to donate to the charity raffle both years.

Keep an eye out for us this year at the racetrack and some industry journals for our logo and some information about what we do!  We are sponsoring race cars in several different classes and will be listed as a vendor in Terramac’s feature in the Builder’s Review Journal.
